Bought this expecting 100% plug-n-play functionality with existing features in my 2015 Highlander Limited (with JBL audio). Installation was simple, but audible noise in the system was annoying at low volumes. Some research online indicated I needed to buy the separate RCA wire harness for units with an amp - this would have been nice to know at the time i purchased the original unit (and frankly, should be included with the unit when they advertise it as compatible with the JBL system). THE GOOD: Unit sounds very good now. Unit looks great, Carplay works like a charm. HUGE improvement in terms of Bluetooth phone calls using the mic that came with the unit, MUCH better than Toyota stock. Radio works great. Not too impressed with the missing functionality and glitches though, the audio control section doesn't work quite as it should (faders for front and rear and subwoofer do nothing), the climate control indicators don't work quite properly (minor annoyance as I don't need them on the screen), and with wireless Carplay you can't be connected to WiFi at the same time (not that I would be comfortable putting my Google login info into this unit considering some stories I've read about malware). Also, the fuel economy software doesn't work. Overall I'm reasonably happy with the unit, I don't regret buying it, but it's not quite the ultra-refined experience I was hoping for at the price point. That said I'd probably buy it again.

Purchased this model for my 2018 Toyota Highlander platinum vehicle with birds eye view. Very happy to say that everything worked smooth without any troubles or hiccups. This is a full entertainment car stereo so you be able to have your favorites like Netflix Hulu, Max, and other apps downloaded via Google store. Everything also works with your iPhone effortlessly. I found a lot of success hooking media services up through hotspot on iPhone. It also gives you an option to download movies directly to the car stereo so if you’re on a long road trip, you can fill up the storage and delete once done and continue the process via Wi-Fi connection. It has only been a week thus far but so far so good lastly, I wanted to know that I did the install myself with very limited background in doing things like this so if I can do it, anybody can do it.

I tried a several brands, actually bought a different brand, its graphic quality was way OFF. Dasaita with ApplePlay was easy to install in ouir 2016 Highlander, did not need to call for help, graphics far superior to the other brand. We appreciate the quality, and love the new screen size.

Me gustó sus feature, funciona bien con sus funciones de fábrica de Toyota Highlander, cámara de reversa funciona bien, controla bien en el guía, tiene buen equalizador, el audio se escucha bien solo que para mejorar hay ponerle un amplificador para que se escuche bien alto, pero es una buena opción su pantalla 10.2 se ve bien. Me gustó mucho esta unidad. Con otras radios tuve problemas para que funcionara la cámara de reversa.

This unit so far is one the the best tablet based units I have purchased. It boots up fast as oem radio and has the same plus more features. You can still adjust everything you would with the factory radio etc daytime running lights, unlock - lock features for door, courtesy lights. The factory steering wheel controls are retained. You also get better sound quality and a great equalizer. So far I have no complaints after 30 days and would recommend to anyone debating on upgrading their highlander. Instillation was completely plug and play 1 out of 5 on the difficulty scale you are just matching plugs from factory harness to aftermarket. There are several videos online that detail the dasaita series install in the highlander. Android auto works great and a better upgrade from factory GPS. In all I feel the g12 is the best and most powerful series. 5 stars
