I have installed a G13 unit to the Toyota Corolla 2013, installation was pretty straightforward even for a non-technical person. CarPlay is working pretty fine and with some EQ tuning and disabling Sound Check in Apple Music, it sounds fine. What I would like to see improved is the software side of things, different themes (more car-like design), improved radio app with RDS support and more detailed system settings descriptions. Also more frequent software updates and improvements with change logs would be great. Overall, I can recommend buying this, if you want a solid unit with CarPlay and Android Auto. There also seems to be a slight fitting issue with small gap (see picture), but it might be my fault and I will try to refit it.
I installed this into my daughter's 2014 Corolla base model. It was super easy to install, and WOW, does it look great! It's super cool! It looks professional and has so many features. The sound is amazing, too!! I highly recommend this unit.
