I installed this unit on my 2016 Toyota Rav4 Limited AWD, and was mainly looking to bring Apple CarPlay to my vehicle. I have now had the unit for about a month. 3 photos with this review show my original factory unit, the new Dasaita unit installed, and the Dasaita unit with CarPlay. The installation was straight forward, and being in my 60's, found that it was a pretty easy task. The appearance and operation post installation is top notch, and impressed on how well it looks. My original factory unit was the JBL GreenEdge system, and I found that this unit connected to the factory harness connectors perfectly, and I didn't have a need for anything other that what was included with this Dasaita unit. Having been used to the slowness of the original unit, I am enjoying that this unit responds so much faster, love the larger screen, and of course the addition of CarPlay is great too.

Because I've seen the question come up at various places, this unit does support and display the 360 camera views and parking assist features, if your Rav4 has them like mine does.

Dasaita has great support. Once at Dasaita's site, they do have a forum online that one could use, but I elected to communicate with them directly via email. They are overseas, so expect up to a day delay for responses (I did not find this to be an issue, as their help and dedication to finding a resolution was worth it). They were very helpful and responsive. After my install, I did have an issue with the music audio level from CarPlay being too low in the rear speakers. Through their diligent troubleshooting, and detailed instructions for collecting logs off my unit, in the end they were able to provide a firmware update for one of the unit's internal functions to resolve the issue. Overall I am very satisfied with this unit, and the help from Dasaita was appreciated ... wish I had made this change long ago!

I am writing this review after using the product for 1 month. Below are my observations -
Pros-
(1) Great hardware - The system can handle the tasks thrown at it. The screen is smooth with good touch sensitivity and brightness. I haven't seen any head issues.
(2) Easy install - Everything came pre-hooked and the installation was a breeze. Installing the top panel cover took some wiggling but overall it was fairly easy to install.
(3) Somewhat customizable software - The home screen and widgets are customizable to some extent although the options are limited. Playstore does help and helps you get apps that you need. You can also customize the app that is opened on various interactions.

Cons-
(1) Basic software - The launcher and software seems to be very basic and lacks areas of customization. It is not possible to have different apps opened in multi-windows, the widget options are less and the home screen layout is very rigid. Tha radio or the music will not play on startup automatically even if it was on the last time from the home screen. Bluetooth music app doesn't show the playlist or give me options to repeat.
(2) Lack of some customization option on key mapping - I am not able to navigate to the Bluetooth music through the Mode key on the steering wheel, and can't seem to customize the options and the order in which the Mode key cycles through media apps. This takes me through unnecessary key press to reach the only 2 apps that I actually need.

Overall, I feel it is a great unit with scope of improvement. I will buy it again if I have a need in future.

Installed in about 2 hours with no issues. Video was essential on where to plug in the cables on the back. The manual was not clear. Before mounting check the rearview camera plug in is correct.

The unit fits perfectly with my model, the installation was simple, everything is plug and play. As for the functionality, the Android system is the best. Quality display, smooth interface and OEM features still working. That s perfect. I recommend Dasaita for their quality products and excellent customer support.
