I have been running the Dasaita V 11 for a few weeks now and I love it. It’s the cheapest option to get wireless CarPlay with a flush OEM style look. Installation was pretty simple, you do have to rig a few things up but that didn’t matter to me considering the price. I had to email them asking for the backup camera diagram, and play with a couple settings. The unit can be slightly buggy sometimes but for the price I can’t complain one bit. I only use it for CarPlay. Overall 5 stars
Overall I am very pleased with the Dasaita head unit. It can be a bit glitchy from time to time when it comes to connecting phones to Bluetooth or getting wireless CarPlay connected. The good news is that it is very simple to work around the glitches. All I have to do is turn the vehicle off and start it up again and then I can connect uninhibited.
That being said, you can’t go wrong with this head unit at the price it is offered at. I searched for the right head unit for a couple of weeks and I found that to get similar features from other brands costs double in most cases.
The reason I gave a 4/5 star review is due to the install not being 100% plug and play for the 2012-2015 Tacoma. In order to secure the clock/hazard switch you have to obtain a 2005-2011 Tacoma hazard switch bezel with does not come with the head unit kit.
You can choose to forego the bezel but then your clock/hazard switch will rattle around while you are driving because it will be loosely sitting in the dashboard.
If you can source the bezel you need to secure the hazard switch and you don’t mind the odd glitch here and there then this is a fantastic head unit and a really good price point. I would highly recommend to anybody who is looking for a clean OEM look with modern tech.
Item is as described. Fits perfectly on a 2007 tacoma. Plug and play. The OEM brackets does not match the holes on the dasaita unit. Everything else works perfectly.
