Updated to Scout(speakers not pushing any sound)


  • Hi,

    I updated to latest Scout update recommended by the device. It worked fine the first day but on the second day the speakers stopped working. So i reset the device back and now the speakers will randomly work, even the radio doesnt work. Please see current system info attached. Please advise.



  • @Naveen Thomas Please further demonstrate what you mean speakers work randomly, could the head unit work in good condition before you rproceed the update? Is the Build Number that you showed on above is the current one?


  • Now that I have reverted back to build number shown above, the speakers have been working without any issues. Should i still go ahead and update to Scout? 

    The head unit was working without any issues other than sometimes with a bluetooth auto connect problems.

  • @Naveen Thomas We do not recommend you update the scout firmware if the head unit is working in good condition now.

  • @Support Dasaita Thank you. The head unit is working fine now but we are still having issues with the bluetooth connections. Especially with an iphone connection. It takes a couple of tries to connect the bluetooth and the auto connect doesn't work too. Anything we can do alleaviate the issue?


  • @Naveen Thomas Have you tried to forget the device on your phone and the stereo? In the meanwhile, go to Apps&Notification on the stereo and clear the cache to check if it could help.


  • @Support Dasaita thank you for the tip. My system has gone back to not giving out any sound. After 15-20 minutes it will suddenly start working and play sound. Looks like something is working in the background and overlapping the sound. Any fixes? I did not have this trouble till i tried to update the system and revert back.

    Vivid 11 Version Make Sure your unit is PX6 Andorid 11(The left widget's map could be customized, suggest Google Map and Scout Map.)

    If the issue persist, please try to replicate your issue and send us a video to show that, in the meanwhile, we are wondering if you could go to Factory Settings > enter "logcat" before replicating the issue. Then go to Filebrowser and copy the log to us.

    About the update operation, please check it below.

    Step1.
    Please download above update file via your computer/laptop firstly. 
    Step2.
    Please format the USB drive to FAT32 Format.
    Step3. 
    Please copy the file “update.zip” to the root directory of USB drive.   
    Step4. 
    Please insert USB drive into the unit via USB cable. 
    Step5. 
    Please go Settings > System > System updates to start the update. 
    Tap "wipe data and format flash" and "install". 
    (Please note that all data on this unit needs to be wiped before doing this step, so back up important data if necessary.)
