I just bought a US model G12 unit, I bought a prepaid SIM card and put it in slot 1. I know the unit is recognizing it because I see ATT Mobile up on top. I then tried to register the SIM card but the IMEI is only 14 digits. I tried the Slot 2 IMEI and it says they don't support 2G. What am I missing? Slot 1 is SV01.
I am not sharing my IMEI number here.
@Support Dasaita
I activated my SIM in another device first and moved it over to the G12 (T-Mobile). It's been working great that way for weeks. Is that an option for you?
@Support Dasaita Thank you but I still have an issue. The US will not activate a 14 digit IMEI number.
Most countries use 15. I spent a lot of money on this unit to have a SIM with mobile data. I used a tool to convert to a 15 digit and Att says it is a 2g and they won't support it.
@Adam Rosenthal We have reflected the issue to the engineer and once getting their reply, we will let you know.
Just purchased the G12/13 unit for my Tundra. How can I find out it the HU will support Verizon sims/network
@Adam Rosenthal this could be the cause of my problem with no connection, how do you use slot 2?, is there a physical 2nd slot somewhere?
And what tool did you use to convert the IMEI number please ?
Edit
i think I've found how to convert the number, but how do you edit the imei number in the G12 ?
@Adam Rosenthal
The Dasaita units have a 14 digit imei#
I have been told Kiwisim 4G for USA purchased from Amazon works with the Dasaita G13 and can be activated. Can not activate ATT or Verizon Sim since their online activation does not recognize the Dasaita IMEI.
@Thomas Geriak
Hi Thomas,
The Dasaita G13 can support the ATT sim card.Do you mentioned that the unit can't recognize the ATT sim card?
I got a sim card from Tello. I just plugged it in and it works, never asked me for the IMEI number. Data and text only.

Here are four ways to find your device IMEI:
- Dial *#06# on your device.
- On your device, select Settings. Then, select General or About.
- Use Device help. Select the Change device link at the top, then choose your device. Enter Find the IMEI and serial number in the search bar. The article will display with directions for your specific phone.
- You’ll find the IMEI on the label. The label is on the battery, which you can remove.
