G12 unable to swipe to left on main screen.

  • From the Main menu, I used to be able to swipe left 3 or 4 screens to see other apps installed on my G12 (things like Torque, APKinstaller, Wheelkey).  Seems to have happened on its own (background update?). How can I get back the missing screens?

    Any help appreciated

  • @Iain Sherrit Please provide the information that we sent you in the previous post.

  • @Iain Sherrit Before scroll back to the previous version, could you please print the log for us?

Please go to Factory Settings > enter "logcat" then replicate the issue, after then go to Filebrowser and copy the log file for us.

Here is the previous version G12(20240111):

    Your cooperation will be appreciated.

  • @Support Dasaita I had applied the G12(20240322)  update and that restored the Main menu NAV/Music/Radio buttons but this still has the problem with not being able to swipe more than one screen.

I will retry updating to G12(20240513) with the logcat option enabled.

Where is the logcat file located?

    regards

  • @Support Dasaita

Downloaded and installed the version G12(20240111) as provided by yourselves above;  this turned out to be G12(20240411) which I had read earlier had problems.

I've reinstalled G12(20240322) and this has restored the missing Main menu NAV/MUSIC/RADIO buttons.

I'll retry the G12(20240513) and see what happens.

  • @Support Dasaita Unit was at G12(20240322) , enabled "logcat" andf then updated to G12(20240513).

Main menu not showing NAV/MUSIC/RADIO buttons. Not able to swipe more than one page.

    Attached "logcat" file.

  • Good afternoon.

    QCM6125 G12

I just updated to version 2024-05-15 and the three main icons have also disappeared, NAV, MUSIC and RADIO, let's see if you can try to solve it.

    Thank you.

  • Solved.

Keeping the screen pressed until the Widgets option appears, find the three and put them.

  • @Juan Perez  Great, thanks for that.  Just need to figure out how I get back the 4-5 pages that show all the apps that are installed when I swipe left. I've only got one page just now.

  • @Iain SherritMantenga pulsado un icono y arrástrelo a la derecha y abrirá páginas.,

  • In this link I have posted a video so you can see how it is done, I hope it helps you.

  • @Juan Perez  I've got back some of the screens when I swipe left but have noticed that some of the Apps are not showing in any of the screens.

Is there a way to add a new icon onto one of these pages; for example Torque

  • @Iain SherritReinstalarlo y saldrá,

  • @Juan Perez Most of the Apps that are missing are the ones that came on the HU originally. I dont think I have the files to re-install them.

  • @Support Dasaita

Installed G12(20240513) ,  and  with the help of another forum user was able to re-instate the NAV/MUSIC/RADIO widgets.  I have managed to get some of the screens (swipe left) back but not showing all tha apps that were there orignally.

Is there a way of manually adding these apps to the pages?

  • @Iain Sherrit Please let us know which apps you need to reinstall, we could send u the APKs, if you want to install Torque, just to go APKinstaller > OEM and intall it.

  • @Support Dasaita  Hi, looking at the G12 manual, there are a lot missing. One thing I havent done when applying the G12(20240513) update, is select the option to wipe data and format the flash. Could this be part of my problem.

  • Apps I am missing are:  Mirroring, Picture, DLNA, AUX In, Carbitlink, F-CAM, Google Play, YouTube, Google, Google PlayStore. There may be others that I've not come across yet.

Is there an easy way to add these to the software menu pages? rather than having to re-install the apps?
