Built in Radio app - seek up/down not working

  • Hi, I have a PX6 update with latest Scout.
    I want to use "seek up/down" with built in radio app.
    I configured "CAN Key" in the hidden menu, than confired buttons using SWC built in app (as shown in the attached picture).
    Despite this, when I long press up/down swc buttons nothing happen.
    If I short press next/previous favorite radio station is selected.

    How can I use seek feature?

  • @Mcgyver83 We are wondering if your OEM car has this feature.

  • @Support Dasaita I think OEM radio unit has this feature. I'm quite sure that I used it before replacing the hint with dasaita px6.

    I see that seek up/down is possible in built in radio app, only touching the screen while radio app is showing "tuner page"

  • @Mcgyver83 We are seeking assitance from the canbus company, once getting their reply, we will let you know.

  • @Mcgyver83 We are wondering if you have configure one button with 2 features? Long press for one and short press for another one. We are wondering if you have configured it with just long press or short press and with only one featuer. Please check if the seek up、down could work.

  • I think the issue could be software related. On the scout implementation once you create the first favorite radio station the next/prev buttons only swaps between favorite stations. As you have only one favorite station...there is nothing to swap.

    I think is a software design bug as there should be an option for the next/prev button behavior.

    If you remove the favorites then you can use the next/prev buttons to tune in.

    Recently scout system uses gracenote database for location based radio stations and you can easily create favorites to switch between then with that next/prev buttons

  • @Mcgyver83 Our engineer said the you could not assign long press as one feature, you can only assign short press.

  • @Support Dasaita as shown in the first post, in the screenshot, I set short press as "next" and long press "seek up". So yes, I configured both short- long press.

  • @Support Dasaita you mean that "seek" feature can be assigned only to short press?

    So I have to flip my setting:

    * short -> seek

    * long -> next

    I got it right?

  • @Support Dasaita  no reply?

  • @Mcgyver83 The engineer said that it could just apply for short press.

  • @Support Dasaita I tried yesteday:
    short press -> seek UP
    long press -> >| (next track symbol)

    but still no luck. Even entering the Radio app (so with Radio app full screen) I'm not able to trigger a "seek up/down" command

  • @Mcgyver83 Sorry to tell you that our head unit could not retain all that features, it could just support only short press -> Seek UP/DOWN, or short press ->Next/Previous Track
