I am experiencing a peculiar issue with my head unit when connected via Wi-Fi to my iPhone 13 mini. Although the network connection appears to be stable, allowing me to browse the internet and stream YouTube without any issues, the Spotify app consistently displays a message indicating that I am offline, which is incorrect.
Interestingly, my wife, who also uses an iPhone 13 but with a dual SIM setup, encounters the same problem when using the same provider (SIM 1) to provide a hotspot for the head unit. However, when she switches to her second SIM card (Telekom), everything functions perfectly.
Furthermore, when I use CarPlay with my phone and SIM, Spotify works as expected. I have also noticed that over-the-air updates for the head unit only succeed when connected through my wife’s Telekom SIM. Otherwise, no updates are available.
I am unsure whether this is an issue related to the SIM provider or the head unit itself. I have already contacted the provider to inquire about any known issues with hotspot functionality and media streaming, but they were unable to provide any information. Initially, I suspected the Spotify app might be at fault, but the inability to receive updates suggests a broader connectivity problem.
Could you please advise on any potential solutions or troubleshooting steps I can take to resolve this issue?
