Hi,
I bought my unit off ebay back in Dec 2019. As of 8 months ago, my bluetooth stopped working and so my wireless carplay also no longer works. I cannot connect to the regular bluetooth stuff like calling with my phone or even music using the default apps.
The only way I can get my carplay to work is through a usb cable. Is this a firmware issue? Or is this a hardware issue? Aside from installing it around Jan 2020, I've never taken the unit out of my car.
Thank you
@Dan C
Hello.
Based on your information, we initially judge possibly the firmware issue.
Due to the version that you purchased already stop production, we are not sure if there is any new firmware for you to update.
If possible, please go Settings > About Machine,
then provide the following pictures: Model; Android Version; Build Number; MCU version.
So that we can confirm further.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you for your response. Please see attached images for info.
@Dan C

Hi,
i tried the factory reset but that didn't help. I will do the firmware update when I get a chance. Thank you!
I followed the upgrade instructions and even after the update, Bluetooth still doesn't work.
Please advise.
@Dan C
Hello.
Please try to change Bluetooth option:
Settings > Car > Factory settings (password: 126) > App > BT,
then select the options in turn to test which one can work.
Hi
Thank you for the instructions. It was a long list but even after I tried all of them, none worked.

I have the exact same radio, due to some annoyances like the audio going to half volume after talking to google and having to wait for another direction has been pretty annoying. I figured I would try to update the firmware. How did you get the firmware to install. There is no update.zip files inside the link that was posted here.
--Update. I renamed the folder update.zip and then it was recognized by the stereo and successfully updated.
unfortunatly the bug where the stereo is half volume after talking to google still persists.
