Recently installed the G12 unit for a 2015 4Runner SKU HA2179BD-G12-CP-2K-Plus-4
I connected all of the USB harnesses including the adapter for the original USB port on the dash.
When I plug in device like an iPhone the device doesn't charge. I don't see any USB setting to change to charging only.

For your information, our unit comes with a single USB cable and a dual USB cable, both of them are used for data file transfers only.
Besides, different phones have different requirements for voltage.
In order to protect current and extend lifespan, our unit provides low voltage only, which may not provide enough power to effectively charge the phone.
To avoid potential damage the phone or the unit,
it's not recommended to charge a phone using low voltage electricity.
And regarding to your problem, please be assured that it is normal situation.
