Unit: Vivid11 PX6, model #HA2179S for 4Runner 2014
Original issue: unit was stuck in boot mode, would not load beyond "Dasaita" logo
To fix this, I used a USB to install firmware (telenav_vivid_rk3399_11.0) and MCU update (4.14) per instructions on this site.
Current problem: the firmware and MCU installed and unit will now boot up, however now my screen is off - the resoultion appears off, I have colored stripes on the right portion of the screen, and the touch interface is misaligned - I have to touch random points on the screen to select items, which makes advancing screens impossible.
I also tried MCU 4.04 and 3.80 (MTCH_HA_V3.80).
Am I using the wrong MCU or is there another fix I can try? I've tried a couple different dmcu.ext files but haven't found one that fixes my display problems. Thank you!
@Trent Holden
Hello.
Please note that MCU(4.14) is not for Vivid11.
The incorrect update will cause the potential damage to the machine and make some functions cannot work.
Besides, please do not update frequently uncertain files, it will make matters even worse and cannot be fixed.
In order to help you better, please provide the following information:
1.
Order Number; Purchase Date.
2.
Pictures: Settings > About Machine > Model; Android Version; Build Number; MCU version.
Okay thank you, your statement that 4.14 is not for Vivid11 helped me. I was able to install 4.04 and now having a working unit again.
@Trent Holden
Hi Trent,
Thank you for got it work,for any other question,do feel free to contact us.
I'm having same exact issue after updating firmware and MCU based on this tutorial: https://www.dasaita.com/community/forum/topic/125682/obdii-connection-tutorial-on-vivid11#post-304991
Same radio as above for a 4Runner as well. Please provide correct MCU download link so I can try to get this fixed. I ordered radio from Amazon. Order #111-8891963-1339424 placed 10/28/2023
@Trent Holden do you mind sharing the correct MCU file? I've got the same issue and cannot find the correct MCU file.
Ugh, update issues are so frustrating. Hope you get it sorted soon!
@Jay Yeager
In order to help you better, please provide the following information:
Please go Settings>About machine and provide the following version information:
1.A clear photo of the stereo's Bulid Number.
2.A clear photo of the stereo's MCU version.
@Support Dasaita,
I cannot provide screen shots. The screen shifted to the left and the touch screen is not working properly so I cannot navigate. I've provided my Amazon order number in previous message so that the model can be found on your side. Here it is again: My Amazon order number was # 111-8891963-1339424 placed 10/28/23. I purchased through the Dasaita Amazon store front.
This seems to be a common issue lately after following these instructions for the OBDII update from this link: https://www.dasaita.com/community/forum/topic/125682/obdii-connection-tutorial-on-vivid11#post-304991
@Jay Yeager my touch screen was also not working properly. (touched in in one spot and acted like i touched it in another). It was a HUGE pain but, I managed to navigate to the above photos through trial and error.
@Tyler Martin Thanks for the idea. Was hoping a factory reset would fix the issue and now I'm stuck in the pick your language screen with the button to move forward off screen. Random pressing on the screen keeps changing the language.
@Jay Yeager You may need to scroll the MCU back to 4.04: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/9sdyk1k0hw0kleu3dbsd1/hmcu.img?rlkey=c1lkgeic6y900g0shpdquinoe&dl=0
Your cooperation will be appreciated.
We are sorry to tell you that the MCU 4.11 is not compatible with Model HA2179-Vivid11.
@Tyler Martin In this case, we are wondering if you could update the resolution, please download the file below.
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/abwx9jbl54gzik4hjgl48/dmcu.ext?rlkey=syy83iyd25i5wl9n1b09tgzhf&dl=0
Copy the file to a formatted USB and proceed the update, note to reboot the radio after the update and then verify if your issue persist.
@Support Dasaita Yes, that seemed to have fixed the resolution. However, the touchscreen is still calibrated wrong. Additionally, there are lines on the right side of the screen and bluetooth doesnt seem to work.
@Tyler Martin We are wondering if you could try to factory reset the whole system and then calibrate the screen.
Here is the instruction to factory reset the system.
Settings > System > Reset Options > Erase all date(factory reset).
Alternatively, please press and hold the RST panel button by pin for 15 seconds to enter the factory setting interface to do the factory reset.
We have attached the video for your reference, please check it below.

Here is the instruction of how to calibrate the screen(you could use a mouse to finish the calibration).

What is the pin for the factory settings?
@Support Dasaita OK, the screen calibration worked great! However the bluetooth is still not working. Additionally, the CarPlay app (Zlink) is missing.
