Just installed a G13 unit in 2019 Tacoma.
Android Auto works thru Bluetooth but I get no Internet access for other apps.
Tried to tether to Android phone but Wifi is tied up with "Android AP 8459"
How can I run Android Auto and have internet Acccess?

@Bob Yamaoka Hi Bob,
Please note that you need to open both the WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone&the head unit to enable wireless CarPlay. In other words, the head unit could not be connected to hotspot when you’re using wireless CarPlay, cuz the WiFi access has been occupied by the CarPlay.
If you want to have the unit connected to network while using CarPlay,please using the 4G Sim card.
If I disable Android Auto how do I access the internet to run other apps?

Do you mentioned the apps on the Android Auto page no Internet ?
No Maps and other non Android auto apps do not have internet access. How do I get Maps to connect to internet?

Do you mean the local app no internet right?
There is 2 option that make the unit connected to the internet:
1.Sharing your phone's hotspot to the unit.
2.Or you could use the SIM card to make unit to access internet.
*Please note the head unit could not be connected to hotspot when you’re using wireless Android Auto, cuz the WiFi access has been occupied by the Android Auto.
