Spoken directions on wireless Carplay are cutoff

  • When my unit plays the spoken direction the first word or two is cutoff.

If it's supposed to say "Turn right at the next stop sign" I will hear "right at the next stop sign"

    Kind of annoying

  • @Support Dasaita Hi, I have this same issue on same device and version. Could you also send me fixed update?

    thanks

  • Same thing happens with G13 unit when starting to play music, sound is cut off for 2 or 3 seconds.

  • @Al Ferro

    Hello,

If you're referring to the music paused or volume lowered during navigation while using wireless carplay ,here are the tips:

    1. Go to iPhone "Settings."
    2. Choose "Maps."
    3. Select "Navigation Voice Volume."
    4. Pick "No Voice," "Low," "Normal," or "Loud" volume options.

Carplay setting is from the phone. If possbile, please use the phone to test if music paused or volume lowered during navigation on apple map.

  • @David Karlík Hello ,

If you're referring the issue of the first word or two is cut off while playing the spoken direction on wireless carplay.

Our technical support is testing a new firmware to solve the problem.

We'll keep you updated once we received their response.

Thank you for your time in advance.

  • @Support Dasaita No, i am sorry but that has nothing to do with using Navigation, it only happens when starting to play a song there are times when the beginning of a song sound it's cut off.

  • @Al Ferro

Thank you for your kind reply.

Please go Settings>About machine and provide the following version information:

1.A clear photo of the stereo's Bulid Number.

2.A clear photo of the stereo's MCU version.

  • @Support Dasaita G13 unit i already tried it using three different Music Apps including the stock music app and it gives me the same result, about 2 seconds of the beginning of a song it's cut off.

  • @Al Ferro Hello, thank you for your details.

    Please find a pin, press and hold the RST button for 15 seconds to see if you can enter the factory setup page, if you can, select factory reset and reboot the unit;

NOTE: Make sure you press the RST button vertically and firmly, you should feel a slight press, or even hear a faint click.

Could you send a video of showing the issue to this e-address: team@dasaita.com so we could forward to our technical support ?

No worries,we’re a responsible company and sincerely interested in resolving this issue for you.

    Thank you !

  • @Support Dasaita Hi I did a clean installation of the operating system again to see if this issue disappears about playing a song and the sound is cut off at the beginning for at least a couple of seconds. I have played the same music files with my Sony Xperia 1V phone and sound is properly played at the beginning of every song and that tells me that there is some kind of bug with your firmware.

Even when playing the sound from this test the voice sound at the beginning is not complete.

  • @Al Ferro Thank you for your time and patience in this matter.

We've sent a message to your email ,could you check and send a video to us?

    Looking forward to your reply.

  • I received the new firmware last night that fixes this problem and I just installed it. I have not gone for a drive yet, but my testing shows the issue is resolved. Thanks for the fix!!!! 👍
