Reboot loop: G13, CB004-X, 2018 4Runner


  • I just installed my new headunit today. I gave a few short tests (1-2 minutes each time) before putting unit back in the dash. After putting it all back in place the unit was working fine for about 5 minutes (other than the backup cam not working, I have another post about that). Then the unit rebooted and went into a loop. It looped for about 2 minutes and then came back up. It worked again for about 2 minutes until it rebooted again and has been stuck in a loop ever since. I've attached a video of what it's doing.

    I was in the process of going through the settings menus to see if I could find a fix for the backup camera problem but the unit rebooted before I had the chance to change any settings.

    So far I've tried turning the car off and on a few times with no luck. And I've tried the RST button, but still no luck. At this time the unit is useless. I can't even address the backup camera problem until I can get the unit started. Looking for help ASAP.

    Please try to find a PIN to RST and update the system:

    1. Download the files on computer.

    2.Copy it to the USB driver and insert on the factory USB port or USB cable .

    3. Find a pin, press and hold the RST button for 15 seconds to see if you can enter the factory setup page, Choose  factory reset first ,then choose system updated from USB driver

    Is this update valid and more recent than the one posted in the firmwares post for QCM6125 (zst27_sc138_13_13_(20240903))?

  • @JoMaRS Hello, Is any issue for the head unit ? We don't suggest to update the system if the unit works well. For any other helps,please get in touch.

    The unit works fine, but I always want to have the newest firmware which usually provides more stability and fluidity.

    Is this firmware valid and more current than the one mentioned in my previous message then?
