4Runner Limited JBL 2016 Dasaita G12 Sound Stopped Working


  • Hi. I have a 5th Gen 2016 Toyota 4Runner Limited with JBL audio sytstem and I installed a brand new Dasaita G12 6 months ago. Everything worked perfectly but yesterday the screen went black for no reason and when I restarted it (using the physical button) the sound stopped working at all. There's no sound with the radio, there's no sound with Apple CarPlay... the only sound that works is when I activate the "key sound" but nothing else. Already erased all data and restored to factory settings but nothing is working. Please help.

    Regarding to your issue, we suggest that you can try to update the firmware firstly.

    Tips:
    1.
    Download above update file via your computer/laptop.
    2.
    Format USB drive to FAT32 Format.  
    3.
    Copy the file “update.zip” to the root directory of USB drive.    
    4.
    Insert USB drive into the unit via USB cable;
    then it will pop up automatically a window of update.
    Alternatively, please manually go "Settings > System > System updates" to start the update.  
    ***NOTE:
    Please make sure that you have ticked option "Wipe data and format flash!".
