Try restarting the unit, there are some similar issues with Bluetooth, if you have auto sleep set instead of 30 seconds shutdown or similar, next time your turn off and on the car, Bluetooth or Android auto/car play will stop working. There are many posts about this, Dasaita has to figure out a fix IMO.
@Michael you must ensure you are connected to Bluetooth first....if not check this:
1) remove all paired phones and keep only your iphone paired. If needed remove pairing an re-pair but ensure only one phone is paired.
2) check on factory settings ("other" tab ) that Bluetooth network sharing option. Change it if this could help to solve the issue.
