Scout to Vivid Launcher options??

  I bought a head unit from Dasaita that works great, but it comes with Scout as its Launcher.

  If I want to change to Vivid, or a different one, what's the benefit of updating the firmware with USB stick (the hard way) versus just downloading it from the PlayStore (the easy way)? Any reason I should do it the hard way?

  @Nathan Darby on scout you can't replace the launcher by other...as is part of the scout customization. I recommend to update the scout ROM with the vivid one but remember to check wipe data option
