I have a 2013 4runner and I just installed a G12. The OEM radio was one with a CD player. The wiring harness included with G12 that I used did not have CANBUS module on it - why is that?
Also there were no plugs included to allow Steering Wheel Controls, and the amplifier button (party mode) does not work any more

For your information, due to your car model is not equipped with JBL,
it needs to connect cable DYX004 which without CanBus.
Here enclosed the connection method for your reference, please make sure that you have plugged SWC cable properly.

@Support Dasaita hello I have a 2013 non jbl 4Runner and just installed the G13. Everything is working except for the backup camera. The unit does not redo fixed when I am in reverse. The screen does not change when in reverse. How do I fix this? I have enabled backup detection. Do I need another additional harness than what was in the box?

Please confirm the setting firstly:
1.
Settings > Car > factory setting (password :126) > Other > Reverse Detection > Enable.
2.
Settings > Car > Factory settings (password :126) > Other > Front Camera > Off.
3..
Settings > Car > Factory settings (password :126) > Other > Switch to front camera after reverse > Disable.
Finally, tap "Apply" > "Exit "> "OK", then Reboot.
In order to help you better, please provide the following information:

The front&back side clear photo of OEM radio.
