Microphone background noise


  • @Support Dasaita Hello support,

    It has now ben a handful of months and I am still having issues with my microphone audio quality while using Zlink/Carplay.  While the vehicle is stopped, people on the call can hear me relatively well.  While driving, there is a tremendous amount of background noise which causes the other side of the call to not be able to hear and word are cut off.   There are constant interference noises when I use both the external and internal microphone, with or without CarPlay. As i mentioned, I have tried both internal and external mics.  I have also bought a new mic (3.5mm) but made no difference, quality still very poor.

    I have also tried changing the mic setting from 12 to 6 to 0 (zero), back to 12.  All changes in the setting made no difference as if this setting had no effect.

    Do you have an update?

    My unit is the Vivid 11.  I did install an update that took it to Max, per your instructions.

    Looking for your guidance on which update to install and hopefully correct this issue.

    Please update the Firmware to the latest version via the link below,here are some tips to help you get it done:

    Vivid 11 Version Make Sure your unit is PX6 Andorid 11

    1.Please download the file though the link via your computer/laptop.

    (Do not rename and Unzip the file)

    2.Format the USB drive before copying the Update.zip  file to it, then insert it to the USB cable,and it will pop out the firmware updating tips on the screen.

    (Tick the option"Wipe data and format flash")

  • I too am continuously having this issue on a G12 unit for almost a year. With each firmware update, the issue is not resolved.

    I purchased the Dasaita 3.5mm audio jack and an Enfig microphone and placed it where the stock mic is with a filter, mic quality is no better. I too believe the headunit is either using the external & internal mic, or only internal.

    Looking for a resolution

    Since the unit with a built-in mic,could you please try disconnected the external mic to see how it work?


  • @Support Dasaita hello. Disconnected the external microphone from the audio port, however the audio sounds the same; as if the external mic is also connected. 

    The audio sounds very distant and muffled,  especially once a vehicle is moving.

    Please go to Settings>About machine and provide the following version information:

    1.A clear photo of the stereo's Built Number.

    2.A clear photo of the stereo's MCU version.
