After reading through the other threads I have a unique issue. It started with the car battery dying, Android Auto stopped connecting wirelessly. This happened once in the past and after a day or so of driving it decided to connect. This time I've been without consistent Android Auto for over a month. Here are some of the troubleshooting steps that I've done that have worked once but stopped the next time I powered up the head unit:
Pressed the reset button on the front of the head unit.
Cleared the Android Auto data in the head unit and the phone.
I have tried several MCU updates but the head unit doesn't recognize them. The only MCU version it will recognize is the version currently installed. I have downloaded the MCU updates from your website zipped and unzipped onto a formatted USB drive. I am using the same USB port that will allow the current MCU update to be loaded with no luck. I fear this issue is not a software issue but an electronic issue. Please advise.
@Michael Underhill Please go to Settings > About machine and send us the current Build Number and MCU version. Please go to Zlink and send us the current Zlink version. We may guide you through an update accordingly.
@Michael Underhill Please kindly go to Apps&Notification to clear the cache of Bluetooth and then forget the device on your phone. Reboot the head unit and reconnect it. If no luck, could you go to Factory Settings and check if the BT module is BT1031p? If yes, we may guide you through an update of the BT module.
@Support Dasaita I downloaded the update and after unzipping it with WinZip loaded onto a known good and formatted usb drive. The head unit did not recognize the update.
@Michael Underhill We found that your previous update is successful, please kindly check if the you just put the update.zip file into the USB drive without unzipping the file. Or you could send us a photo with what you have put into the USB, please try other USB port if possible.
