Recently, some customers have reported backlight leakage issues with the model HA2225 stereo. Upon investigation, we've found that the problem might be caused by the air conditioning vent pressing against the screen during installation.
We recommend the following steps to resolve this issue:
1.Remove the navigation unit: Carefully take out the HA2225 unit from your vehicle's dashboard.
2.Inspect the right air conditioning vent: Check if the right side of the air vent is pressing against the stereo screen. Prolonged pressure can cause the screen to be squeezed, leading to backlight leakage.
3.Trim the air conditioning vent: If you find that the vent is indeed pressing against the screen, you can use a knife or other tools to trim a small portion of the vent. This adjustment should prevent the screen from being squeezed.
From the pictures provided by customers, it appears that the right side air conditioning vent is the likely culprit.
Once you trim the vent, the screen should return to normal within a few days.
