I purchased a new G13 for a 2017 Toyota Rav4 Platinum w/JBL.
Fit and finish is nice, but upon installation I noticed there are a lot of wires that were connected to the original head unit that aren't used with the G13. Is there any information on what those wires are? I haven't been able to find a picture or schematic that matches the back of the factory head unit, there are probably 4 connectors in the dash that don't have a home with the G13. A more thorough explanation of all of the adapters/wires provided would be super helpful.
Second question: It seems as though the speakers aren't all functional: sound comes from the front dash speakers but nothing else. Everything that had a plug has been used, is there something I need to adjust within the G13 software?
Thanks
@Philo Beddoe
Hi Phile,
please go Settings>About machine and provide the following version information:
1.A clear photo of the stereo's Build Number.
2.A clear photo of the stereo's MCU version.
Here is the wiring connection for your reference,if the funciton are works (except for the rear speakers)the rest of the cables no necessary.
I removed the G13 to inspect the wiring and I have the wires connected as shown above. One difference is the old head unit does not look like the picture you've included above. I've included some pics of what you've requested as well as the back of the factory head unit.
The only thing outstanding at this point is the very weak sound from anything other than the top dash speakers. The top dash speakers are loud and clear.
