Dear DASAITA, after installing the version 20241126 there are random reboots of the device. During the period of operation, the only app that worked was the default radio. I hope you can give me support because it is really annoying to see the device rebooting during its normal operation.
It is also worth mentioning that I have also made two clean installations of the mentioned firmware, always obtaining the same result. Random reboots
The MCU version is MTCH_HA4Z_V4.12b_1
Thank you in advance for the support you will give me
@Antonio Catalano
Hello.
Thanks for your message.
We are wondering if you know the firmware version before updating.
Could you please confirm with us?
Besides, please provide the following picture:
Settings > About Machine > Build Number; MCU version.

Regarding to your issue, we suggest that you can firstly try to use a Pin/Paperclip to press and hold the RST Button for 15 seconds to enter the recovery interface to do the factory reset.
(Tap "Wipe data/factory reset" > "Factory data reset" > "Reboot the system now".)
Here enclosed the operation video for your reference:

@Support Dasaita Before issuing the alert I have carried out the following tests. Using USB KEY updated (firmware G12 20241126) with Wipe data/factory reset with Android system online and finished installation process, I installed some apps (TOMTOM Amigo, NAVRADIO+). Tested during normal driving. The device has been randomly reactivated. Performed another test by reinstalling the firmware version entering recovery and carried out Wipe data/factory reset and subsequent restart of the device. Performed a new reset and installed the same G12 20241126 firmware using the "Apply update from SD Card or Usb" function. With this test I left only and exclusively all the system apps and used only the default radio. After a few days of testing I had equally random reboots. I remain waiting for resolution of this boring anomaly. Thanks
P.S. My last firmware before update was G12 20240914

@Antonio Catalano

@Antonio Catalano Same issue.
Went on 2 hr drive this weekend between 2 states, no issue with reboots.
Went on a 5 minute drive this morning to work, randomly reboots lol.
This issue is so inconsistent and random for me, it's difficult to replicate or record to show the Dasaita tech team. I don't know what to make of this issue.

@B C I wanted to ask you something. Did you install the SIM module on your G12? I think that’s the problem with reboots. The problem has appeared to me since I physically connected the module. I have now physically disconnected it and am conducting some tests. For now and only for now, I have not had any reboots but I need to conduct the test in several days. I await your reply. Thank you
@Antonio Catalano
Hello
Thank you so much for sharing this information.
@Antonio Catalano , I have a G12 installed in a 4Runner and have been seeing what sounds like similar issues since the install. I've done the upgraded MCU, firmware, etc - still unusual stability pattern.
Your note seems really helpful - had not considered I also have the SIM module plugged in (no card though for me). Before I consider ripping the dash apart to unplug it, are you able to kindly confirm if you are still seeing improvement with the SIM module removed?
Thx in advance.
@Antonio Catalano Hello. I apologize for the late reply, as I don't receive notifications unless I log back onto the forum.
I actually didn't install the sim module, as I knew I would either be using bluetooth or my phone as a hotspot, so I had no need for it, data-wise. I haven't had the chance to install the latest firmware that dasaita sent, since my initial install failed (possibly due to installing both the mcu and firmware at the same time. The mcu installed, so I'll try it again separately since the automatic firmware update app doesn't have the latest firmware sent to us to install OTA).
@The Great Donkey Hello. I’m still in the testing phase but since removing the SIM module I have not had restarts. Given that they are completely random restarts, I think more time is needed. Since my last message, to better test the G12, I installed some apps (Tomtom Amigo, Dab-z) that I use simultaneously.
@B C ok Thanks. To update the firmware, do this test. If you unzip it, you'll find a 2024.11.26 folder, and inside it the correct Update.zip file. I just upgraded my G12 and everything seems ok😉
