ABS errors with Dasaita head unit


  • 2017 Toyota Rav4 with this Dasaita head unit:  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CPFC713Z?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1

    I now get intermittent ABS/traction control loss warnings in the Driver Information Center.  The issues comes and goes with no apparent cause (other than it only appears with the Dasaita head unit).

    I have removed the Dasaita head unit and replaced with OE and the issue has gone away.  Re-installed the Dasaita and the issue returns.

    I have seen one other issue reported for a Toyota 4Runner (https://www.dasaita.com/community/forum/topic/125867/dash-error-lights-on-2015-toyota-4runner-trail#post-271090), though I didn't see any resolution.

    Is there any additional information or troubleshooting steps to remediate this problem?  It appears to be directly related to the Dasaita head unit as the problem is not observed with the OE head unit.

    I own a ODBII diagnostic tool and have cleared the code on multiple occasions, only to have it return.

    When I installed the unit I had the vehicle battery disconnected to remove all power.  Once the new unit was installed and connected, I re-connected the battery.

    Please confirm whether other functions are normal except ABS/TCS errors.


  • 1. Purchased December 9th, 2024.  Please let me know how I can communicate in a non-public method to provide the order number.

    2. Other functions appear to be normal.

    There are no external devices connected to the radio other than the microphone and GPS antenna that came with the unit.

    There *are* wires in the car itself that were connected to the original radio, but with the new Dasaita G13, there was no place to plug these in (discussed in other thread).  I have no idea what those other wires do or if they're related to this problem.
