Loud 'hiss' when now audio playing

  Car: Toyota C-HR with factory JBL speakers

  Head unit: HA5462-Vivid10-CP-HD

   

  When there is no media playing and the volume is set as low as 1, there is a noticable audio hiss from the speakers.  If the volume is muted, the hiss goes.

  I have tried setting the amp to -15db in the 'extra' factory settings, but the hiss is still there.

  How can I get rid of the hiss?
