Microphone background noise


  • @Chris P Have you updated the firmware to the latest version 20240513? We have improved the background noise in this version yet.

    I have not applied the upgrade yet. 
    Are there settings I should be aware of to make proper adjustments to eliminate background noise from the internal mic?

  • @R. L. Please go to System update on the Home screen and proceed the update, note to wipe the data before update, it will improve the background noise.


  • I have same issue with microphone and just updated to latest June firmware. Android 12 system


  • I have the exact same issue on my  Dasaita px6 for a 2015 Honda accord. I tried installing the drop box zip file. Extracted it but can seem to run it. The system updates aren't downloading anything when I click on them under system settings. How do I get the firmware update? It's so annoying. I can never use my Bluetooth for calls while driving. The background noise and voice quality over the mic is terrible! Please help!

  • @Support Dasaita Hello Support, I just tried updating with the June update.zip

    I was prompted to update and I selected "To wipe data and format flash". 

    Unfortunately recieved an error....see pics attached.

    Where do we go from here?

  • Update:  I Redownloded the update.zip file again and this time copied to a MicroSD card (Samsung 32gb).  Unfortunately same results:  Error 21.

    Restarted device a few times only to recieve the same error over and over. Error happens at the same point of installation every time, about 1/4 way into the update.

     

    Any suggestions?

  • @Support Dasaita The update.zip file I am using is (beta version G12(20240509)).  

    You asked earlier in the thread "Have you already updated the firmware to the latest 20240513"

    Is there a newer version since G12 (20240509) ??  If the latest firmware is 20240513, please share the download link.

  • @R. L. Hi there, we have latest 20240606 OTA update, you could go to System update in the Home menu and online update that firmware.


  • @Support Dasaita Hello,  Ok, I connected the device to wifi and an update was downloaded and installed.  Scout, PX6, Android11, Software ver. 7.4.4262

    Does this update include the fix for the internal microphone?  If not, what do I need to do next?

    I successfully installed update (telenav_vivid_rk3399_11.0_ota(20240604)). 

    WIthin Factory Settings, there is a new setting labeled "External Mic".  There are (2) options for this setting, "Internal Mic" and "External Mic".  I set it to "External Mic".

    Will be testing over the next few days and will reply back here with results.

    Hello, I have a G12 system and am hoping for a link to the updated firmware so I can fix the microphone. I use a Mac. Do you have a link so I can download that zip file without errors? Thanks!

    This response is a followup from my earlier post regarding the successful installed update (telenav_vivid_rk3399_11.0_ota(20240604)).   With my settings set to use the external mic (enfig), backgroud noise has dropped significantly.  My calls have been with windows up and speed around 50 mph.  So far so good.  I will continue to test and reply back with updates.
