After Sales Support - Unit Randomly Shuts Off and Car Play Won't Connect Consistently

  • I've sent emails to the posted Dasaita email on the site and also messaged through Amazon where I purchased the unit from the official Dasaita page.  Hoping to get a response.

I purchased a Dasaita 10.2" Android 11 Car Stereo for Toyota Tundra 2014-2021 w/Apple Carplay, Android Auto, GPS Navigation, 4G RAM+64G ROM, Touch Screen Head Unit from Amazon in August 23.

The first order was a returned stereo and was not new and was promptly returned and replaced by Amazon via the Dasaita web store.

First two screenshots include the order details.

Over the last three months, the stereo has shutoff randomly and then restarts 10 - 15 minutes later.

Over the one - two months, the stereo now intermittently connects to bluetooth on my two phones and fails to connect to CarPlay through Z Link.

I’m trying to resolve this but can’t seem to figure out why they are happening.

I’m hoping you can assist as the unit is supposed to be warrantied by Dasaita for 1 year.

  • After waiting almost 48 hours with no response, I updated the firmware from the page below for Android 11 and Vivid:

    https://www.dasaita.com/community/forum/topic/125448/firmware

Firmware loaded restarted, and connected to car play.

Today, I started the truck and the unit didn't turn on at all.  About 10 minutes into my drive, the blue lights turned on but nothing on the screen.  Sucks to drive 50 minutes to work without a stereo that works.

Made my first stop, truck was parked for about 20 minutes.  Get back in, start the truck a couple minutes later, the unit starts back up.

I've had this issue randomly for the last three months where the screen doesn't come on.  I'm at 9 months in, only driven about 3K miles in that time, and this unit is highly unreliable, but even more concerned about the lack of response from Dasaita through email on the site or Amazon.

  • @Brandon Mouton You need to update the MCU, here is the hmcu file.
