Dasaita black screen

  • Good morning everyone.

I have updated the MCU and the screen is black, it works but I can't see anything.

Is there any way to fix it.

    Thanks.

    Greetings.

  • @Juan Perez

    1) why did you upgrade the MCU?

    2) which MCU file did you use?

    3) press the reset button (pin hole) with a needle in order to check if the image comes again to live....if not:

    4) try to upgrade (again) to latest mcu for your unit (mtce or MTCH) but this time from the recovery menu by means of pressing the reset button (pin hole) for about 25-30 secs...

First you will notice blinking lights ...but continue pressing reset until you see the unit is showing the logo

  • e reset with the pin and still see the black screen.

  • If I could remove the Recobery I could solve it, but I don't know how.

  • You have to be able to show the recovery menu.

Just press the reset button for about 25 seconds....the.unit will reboot into recovery menu....there you will find an option to upgrade mcu .

This time use the correct dasaita mcu file

  • @Juan Perez but please is important to tell us which file did you use for mcu update.

Upgrading a wrong MCU file could brick completely the unit.

  • East.

    MTCE_MX.V3.82

  • @Juan Perez.

The MCU you used is "compatible" but something in the factory settings has been changed due to the fact that you never upgraded the MCU with your exported settings.....

Without image you can't access to factory settings so the only way is by means of accessing the recovery menu (the procedure I described earlier is for andeoid 10, on previous versions the procedure was slightly different)

First of all switch off your unit (remove fuse for about 2 min ) or remove wires to ensure you are booting the unit from cold and not waking up from sleep.

Then try to go to recovery menu.

  • I took out the Dasaita, I removed the fuse and the power cable and reset it, but the black screen is still the same.

  • @Juan Perez so try the procedure described for booting into recovery menu....otherwise you will never could remove the black screen.

Does your unit have HDMI output? If so try to connect it to a monitor...

  • Good morning Iker.

I've connected a screen via HDMI and nothing remains the same, it works but nothing is visible, the black screen.

Thank you for your help and for trying to solve my problem. Greetings.

  • The only way then is to get into recovery and reload the MCU....

Is is strange as all mcte mcus are similar....you could get some specific errors...but not a black screen.

I don't know if there is a setting (on factory settings) that could lead to black screen....

It could be any additional hardware failure on the screen?

Do you see at least that the LCD screen is working (even not displaying anything)?

  • yes yes, even though it's black you touch and you hear beeps from the app and you also see a clear black, the strange thing is that by resetting Recovery doesn't start, but well I can't do anything.

  • @Juan Perez

When you use the reset button....do the lights of the buttons blink in any moment?

If you quick press the reset button, do you feel that the display shuts off?

Do you feel you are pressing a small button with a clip or neddle when using the reset button?

  • when I click the reset the screen becomes blacker, and the click of the button is noticeable when you click it.

  • Hi @Dasaita Official , I have experienced for the last 2-3 months the same exact problems shared by @Juan Perez .  The unit is 2.5 years old and it was purchased on Amazon (Order# 112-0171974-5943430).  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!
