This wasn’t obvious to me but ended up being an easy fix.
If you’ve installed your unit and some features like sound are working, but OEM parts like the camera and steering wheel controls aren’t, ensure the CANBUS (the reddish square) is installed on the set of wires you’re using. My head unit came with two sets of wires (CB004 and CB0047), but the CANBUS was attached to CB004. I didn’t realize I needed to transfer the CANBUS to CB0047. I set aside the unused wires early on and didn’t notice this until I reached out to support after debugging for a long time with no luck.
