HA2202-Vivid10-CP-HD: wired into 1997 4Runner. The home screen shows a map and knows my location. When clicking the NAV button or native Nav app, it can't find a GPS connect. The antenna is screwed on tight, sky clear, and the receiver block is on top of my car. Is there a setting that needs modified to activate?
I've the same problem. Vivid FW. It takes ages to get a GPS signal. I've the same unit except Vivid in my car and there's no problem with getting GPS signals.
Well, I will get a signal, but it takes a long time. That's the problem. The one I have in my car Max 10 will get signals basically in less than one minute. Something is wrong in the system of the Vivid FW or hardware.
I got the GPS signal working!!!! The screw was a little bit loose. I tight it well and drove in the city for about 15 Minutes. Every works fine. Thank you Alan, thank you Quick Yuan. Thank Dasaita for this Amazing Vivid OS and amazing 13,3inch Universal headunit.
I upgraded to the lastest software this morning. Still no GPS. I drove around for 25 minutes with the antenna on the roof and still no signal in the GPS Monitor tool.
@Olufemi Savage The last picture explains it all. Someone at Dasaita swapped sides between GPS and Wifi. For more than 5 years Wifi has been on left and GPS on the right. Now they are the other way around. Stupid in my opinion, but navigation works now.
Interesting...this might be my issue. The back chassis picture in the manual does have the GPS shown in the right side above the AM/FM antennae port. I will pull the unit out and verify that I don't have the Wi-Fi/GPS antennas errantly swapped. I thought I double checked the cast labels on the back of the chassis but who knows, I could have a chassis that was an old lot with the labeling to match the older internal board antenna port layout but assembled with the new board that has the antenna ports swapped, as you mention above.
Thanks Tom and Olufemi. I will report back later on the results.
@Tom Box Tom, once you had the antenna mounted correctly, did you get a GPS signal fairly quickly or did you have to drive around before the GPS monitor showed the signals, satilites?
