Has anyone else seen this issue? I have my unit set to auto-sleep, but when it comes up after turning on the ignition, the radio app does not recieve signal from the antenna. If I do another sleep/restart cycle it works again. Reboot also fixes it. It doesn't happen every time but it's frequent enough to be an issue.
Yes, I can duplicate the issue in both the stock radio app and NavRadio+ it is exactly the same.
Yes, I double checked the antenna wiring harness connection into the unit and reseated everything.
Thanks. In the youtube video you posted, it looks like I can put the update.zip and the hmcu.img on the thumb drive and they will update at the same time when I select System update. Is this still true? Or is it MCU first System second?
EDIT: Never mind I got it. https://youtu.be/fVthEYy3upc
Hi @Richard Smith , Thanks for having raised the question; I have the exact same issue on my dasaita (same model). Did the solution suggested above work for you?
I can verify that the upgrade worked. It didn't brick me and it didn't force me to wipe the device and reinstall everything. A few things are different, the biggest thing is you get Zlink5 which splits Android Auto and Carplay into two separate apps. You also get native 1280x720 resolution in Zlink5. So yes this is a substantial upgrade.
With regard to the original issue (NavRadio freezing on the antenna input when waking up from Auto Sleep) I was able to get some relief by turning off battery optimization. Since that menu is not in the system settings you have to use the trick outlined here:
I have updated my unit (vivid 11) with the MCU and OTA provided in this post, it doesn't boot anymore. It doesn't even power on (blank screen). Can Any body help me? I have tried all methods but nothing works.
@Guillem Martínez Really sorry that happened. You're saying you can't even get to the recovery menu? I'm talking about the procedure described here: https://youtu.be/3P7nuevmJmM
Please provide as much detail as possible and if you get to recovery please post a screen capture.
Just a quick update, the issue with the radio app frezzing up still happens, and there are some threads on XDA Developers about it. Some apps seem to get frozen in memory or have their permissions changed during Auto-Sleep and there is no way to create a whitelist to change this behavior. There are workarounds but they all involve getting root or using a different ROM.
Another option would be to extend the Auto-Sleep timeout to a larger value (more than 1 hour), or just make the timeout value configureable.
@Karol Karol We are wondering if you have tried to get the item back to Max version and test if the restart problem still occur. Your cooperation will be appreciated. Here is the download path of Max10.
Android 10 Update
MAX10 Version:Make Sure your unit is PX6 Andorid 10
Ok, I'll install this update and check. Because now I have an earlier version of VIVID installed and less hardware restarts. On this latest version of the VIVID update, very often the equipment restarted for me. I'll let you know.
Thank you very much for your reply and best regards.
@Support Dasaita No, I can't get to the recovery menu beacuse the unit is dead. The problem is it doesn't power up. Nothing, no lights, no bootloop, no logo screen freeze. Nothing.
I have tried to remove the fuse for 3 mins then power on, remove the fuse and power on with the reset button pressed for a minute, everything I have found in this forum. Nothing works.
Today I installed this latest version of the MAX 10 software. I also installed additional applications that I also had installed when I had VIVID. I drove the car today and used DASAITA equipment in the same way as with the VIVID software. DASAITA EQUIPMENT DID NOT RESTART. So there must be something in the VIVID software, it looks like Vivid is updating something and rebooting. It's a pity, because VIVID is more user-friendly and look-friendly than the MAX10. I hope that VIVID will be constantly supported and expanded because it is a very nice idea and to overtake other products from the competition.
Thank you very much for your help and best regards.
Today again a whole day of driving the car and everything is ok on the MAX10 software. Running all applications as on VIVID and no reset of Dasaita hardware. Best regards.
@Karol Karol Thank you for getting back to us. Our engineers are further investigating the compatible issue and will try their best to solve the problem.
@Guillem Martínez We would like to tell you that you can only update the version not the MCU if there is not any system error as it maybe uncompatible. In this case, would you mind sending us the sku or order number of the stereo, we will require further instruction from our engineer. Your prompt reply will be appreciated.
